Hearts-Oly in a "Third World War"

Accra Oct. 13, GNA - The management of Hearts of Oak confirmed on Monday in a press statement a crunch soccer friendly between the club and city rivals Great Olympics on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium. It will be the third time in the year that the two clubs will be coming up against each other; the first two though were in competitive premier league encounters.

The first encounter ended 1-1 while Hearts won the second 2-1 courtesy, Ablade Morgan's last gasp header.

The statement signed by Ashford Tetteh Oku, Administrative Manager of Hearts, said the match is being organised by Macbells and Maracuja, producers of local alcoholic drinks, and it is to test the battle readiness of the two teams for the last segment of the Kinapharma Premier League, which kick-starts on Wednesday, October 29, this year. At stake is a giant trophy plus a cash prize of six million cedis for the winner and four million cedis for the loser.
