Hearts agree Kingston deal

HEARTS have concluded the purchase of Larry Kingston from Terek Grozny, and the player’s agent remains hopeful of seeing his client excel in maroon next season.

Vladimir Romanov, the majority shareholder at Tynecastle, today invoked his option to sign the Ghanaian internationalist for a fee in the region of £500,000, and he is now tied to the club until June 2010.

Kingston is aware of the prospect of being signed and sold by Romanov for a profit with English clubs Bolton and Newcastle monitoring his position. But Moscow-based Alexander Fedoseev wants the midfielder to become a driving force for Hearts next season.

“I have received the paper, everything is done and the option has been fulfilled,” said Fedoseev.

“The contract is three years from now. Larry wants to win something with Hearts, that is the position he is in. He is a very profound boy. He wants to show his brilliant game and achieve results.”
