Vice Chairman of the FA Cup committee, Kofi Poku insists two of Ghana 's most decorated club's, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko have no future in football.

The astute football administrator stated the current management of the clubs fall below the standards of modern football, hence the reasons for the poor performance of the club's in recent years.

Both Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko have struggled to make headways in both domestic football and on the continental front. Hearts have failed to win the Ghana Premier League in almost a decade with Kumasi Asanke Kotoko, despite winning the FA Cup, they haven's been convincing enough.

“If you look at Hearts and Kotoko, I don’t see any future in them because they all want instant results, so anybody who takes charge wants to please the fans,” he told Happy FM.

“Most of clubs don not build the capacity of the staff. In this country, you can’t handle these two clubs if you are not a billionaire but it come to a time they will not have money to the club. So we need to set out long, mid and short plans to stipulate their directional policy so that they can focus,” Poku added.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup in the upcoming season with Accra Hearts of Oak also continuing with preparations ahead of the new season.
