Head of the Strategic Committee and a member of the Hearts of Oak Board, Vincent Odotei Sowah, has sang the praise of the new Kudjoe Fianoo-led Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA).
The premier league and lower divisions’ club body has endured heavy criticism for being toothless with regards to fighting for the ultimate interest of its members but rather, succumbing to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) instead of the latter seeking the opinion of the former in terms of Management of the various leagues.
Odotei, who doubles as a politician, during the official launch of the President’s Cup slated for July, between Ghana’s two biggest clubs, Hearts Of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko, congratulated the Association’s leadership for the enormous sponsorship it had managed to secure for the match in just a short period since they took office.
“This new GHALCA executives have given some form of impetus… and to you the media who had previously described the association as a toothless bulldog, can now testify the Kudjoe Fianoo-led regime are showing some form of enthusiasm, momentum and some form branding as well and I hope they continue in that regard,” he told the gathered media.
Hearts will be looking to revenge the League match defeat suffered at the Accra Sports Stadium to Kotoko when the two meet again on Republic Day.
