Hearts can’t do without Ghana’s Buaben - McKay

Hearts of Midlothian former boss Gary Mckay has stated any injury to his foreign players, particularly Ghanaian midfield enforcer Prince Abankwah Buaben will be a disaster for the club.

The former Watford star together with Osman Sow and Morgaro Gomis have been instrumental for the Tynecastle side as they eye promotion back to the top flight.

“Morgaro Gomis and Prince Buaben are hugely influential and, if one goes out of the team, they would be very difficult to replace. It wouldn’t be easy to deal with but that time may come eventually,” Mckay told the club’s website.

“Both Gomis and Buaben were excellent again against Raith, and there’s no doubt we will be without them at some point. This is where the patience aspect has to come in, when you are missing key players. Obviously, two of our main guys were missing on Saturday and we fared okay.”

Buaben has featured 10 times for Hearts this season, scoring three goals in the process.
