The Hearts of Oak’s coach Addo has reassured football fans in the country that his side will continue to make Ghana proud as they compete in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Phobians on Friday stunned Djoliba in Mali by 2 goals to 1 in the first leg and will enter into the second leg with their teeming fans behind them at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra.

The 63-year-old coach has guided Hearts of Oak to 5 games without a defeat in the CAF Confederations Cup, winning 4 and drawing 1.

He can’t hide his feelings by indicating how gratified he is following Hearts of Oak’s impressive run in continental football.

“I am very proud that Hearts of Oak is the only Ghanaian team playing in the CAF competition at the moment and I am assuring all football fans that we will make them proud by continuing to lift up the flag of Ghana high,” Herbert Addo said.

Hearts of Oak, who are lying 9th on the league log will return to domestic football by taking on their local rivals, Accra Gt. Olympics on match day 14 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
