Hearts coach motivates fringe players to fight for game time

Hearts of Oak head coach Sérgio Traguil insists all his players have an equal chance to play for the team provided they work hard.

Traguil wants the fringe players to learn from Kwame Kizito’s return to the team.

The Portuguese coach has brought a number of new ideas to the team including a change of style and handing starting places for hitherto sparingly used players in his side.

Kwame Kizito had only played twice in the FA Cup this season, but he has been on the bench in the last two games.

He came off the bench to score the only goal of the game in the 1-0 defeat of Berekum Chelsea.

“The players feel that with me everybody has the chance to play,” coach Sergio told facebook.com/accraheartsofoak.

“They feel that they can go into the first XI even if in the last game they were in the stands. So Kwame Kizito is working very hard these last two weeks when he came from injury; he came back very strong with a strong mind and a lot of quality.

"He still needs to understand our game more and our movements but he came back strongly. I told him that he will score [just before I introduced him].”
