Hearts fans urge board to appoint Operations Director

Some Hearts fans Some Hearts fans

The vociferous fans of Hearts of Oak are advising the Togbe Afede-led board to appoint a substantive Operations Director with just eight matches to end the Ghana Premier League.

According to the fans, the absence of an operational manager since 2004 has had a great deal of adverse effect on the team, affecting performance both home and away.

One of the crucial roles of an operations director is to spy on clubs and give official report to the MD on what underground works should be deployed on a particular match.

“We the fans have been itching to get an operations manager since Togbe took over the club and this has made the club gone without a league trophy for over six seasons. This is not spiritual as some fans have tagged it as a mystery when the team play at the Accra Sports Stadium.

“We have lost and drawn some must-win games this season against WA All Stars, Liberty, Ashgold, WAFA and others”, fans told Starr Sports.

Hearts are currently on top of the league table with 39 points and on Sunday will travel to Sogakope to play WAFA in a crucial encounter.
