Head Coach of newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC, Abdul Karim Zito insists Accra Hearts of Oak is an improved side compared to the side he faced in the GHALCA 8 competition.
The two side met in a preseason friendly on Sunday at the Dawu Park, as they continued with preparations ahead of the yet to start Ghana Premier League.
Dreams held the Ghanaian giants to a 1-1 draw, after former striker of the club Eric Gawu leveled for the Dawu based club, following Samudeen Ibrahim’s opener in the 15th minute.
“It was a good game, we have done very well, Hearts is a changed team compared to the G8 team we played,” Coach Zito said after the game.
“So far so good, it was a good test for the boys.”
Dreams FC have been outstanding in the offseason, winning the GHALCA 8 tournament and have made some good signings ahead of the season.
Coach Zito, who is poised on finishing in the top four next season admitted his opponents on Sunday were really poor in the G8, despite making it to the final.
“I was speaking to their Coach and he told me they are very fit for the game on the touchline, he said we will see a different Hearts and tactically we were countering each other with our style of play,” he said.
“So far so good, Hearts is in top form but before the G8 and it not good,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Accra Hearts of Oak have intensified preparations ahead of the season. They played Vision FC 24 hours earlier before the game in Dawu on Sunday.
The Phobian have brought in American Mark Noonan to steer the affairs of the club as the Chief Executive Officer.
