Hearts looks ahead

Accra, Feb 14, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has stepped up its preparations towards their local and continental assignments with an international friendly scheduled against Liberian club side, Padaco FC on Sunday.

The game slated for the El-Wak Stadium is to provide the team enough playing time to enable them peak ahead of the Ghana League Clubs Association's (GHALCA) Top Four and other competitions. A release issued by Ashford Tetteh-Oku, Administrative Manager of the club copied to the GNA Sports said the Phobians who pipped Dansoman-based Liberty Professionals last Sunday, are poised to extend their winning formula when they host the Liberians who placed third in their domestic league.

A return friendly involving a second team of Hearts and Swedru All Blacks would precede the duel.

Players expected to feature in the international friendly include new signing Eric Gawu, and the team's dependable stalwarts, Dan Quaye, Bernard Don Bortey and Francis Bossman among others. Mr Tetteh- Oku called on the numerous and die hard supporters of the Club to endeavour to patronise the double duel that would attract moderate rates of 30, 000 and 50,000 cedis at the gate.
