A pocket of angry Hearts of Oak fans arrived at the club’s training grounds on Monday and chased out former Asante Kotoko defender John Kuffour who had been handed trial opportunity by head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

The free agent arrived at the club’s training grounds on Monday amidst treats issued by fans to management not to allow the towering center-back train with the club.

But Kuffour arrived at the club’s training grounds at Police Depot at Tesano in Accra and he got the boos from angry fans who stormed the grounds and prevented him from training.

Fans of the former African champions are angered by the club’s failure to land any since the transfer window opened.

The management of the club emptily claimed they had completed talks and signed former Ghana U20 winger Latif Salifu and goalkeeper Stephen Adams only for the clubs to look elsewhere.

Kuffour played for relegated Heart of Lions last season.
