Public Relations Officer of Hearts of Oak Kwame Opare Addo has dismissed reports that his outfit are on the verge of appointing Tom Strand as coach of the side.
Hearts of Oak relieved Scotsman Frank Nuttal off his duty as head coach of the club just at the start of the ongoing season and handed the team over to his then deputy, Henry Wellington as an interim trainer.
But the performance of the side has been nothing good to write home about as they languishing in 10th position with 15 points after 11 games.
Reports in the local media suggest the Phobians are close to acquiring the service of former Medeama SC coach Tom Strand to replace Wellington, who has been on sick leave for the past three weeks.
“Henry Wellington is still the head coach of Hearts. He’s being assisted by Odoom and that remains it," Opare told Joy FM.
"No other decision regarding Tom Strand has been taken. We're behind the coaches and will support them to achieve success,'' he added.
Strand previously managed Bechem United, Great Olympics as well as Medeama and won the 2015 Ghana FA Cup title with the latter in 2015.
