Kwame Opare Addo, the Public Relations Officer of Hearts of Oak has dismissed claims that wrongfully acquired the services of Dominic Eshun.
On Tuesday, the capital-based club announced the arrival of the Karela United winger on a long-term contract.
Surprisingly, the Nzema based club claimed they have not reached any agreement with the Phobian club over Eshun and threatened to drag the club to FIFA for illegally purchasing the player.
But Opare Addo says his outfit did due diligence before signing the winger.
“Hearts Of Oak have not stolen any player from Karela Utd,” he told Asempa FM.
“Per the documentation available to us and the player’s words, he is not under contract.
“Hearts of Oak did due diligence before going in for the player.
“You can’t hold the club responsible for doing the right thing.”
Opare also reiterated that football administrator should expect the resumption of the Ghana Premier League in August.
“Per the pace at which we are moving, I believe football will be played in a synchronized manner in August 2019,” he added.
