Hearts of Oak's Joseph Esso unhappy over reckless tackle by Augustine Sefa

Hearts of Oak forward Joseph Esso has expressed his dissatisfaction over the horrendous tackle by Augustine Sefa during their friendly clash against Asante Kotoko over the weekend.

The 21-year-old was replaced with young forward Selassie Bakai in the early minutes of the game after suffering an injury following a reckless tackle from Augustine Sefa in their 2-0 defeat against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

According to the former Ebusua Dwarfs hitman, the Porcupine Warriors full-back deliberately inflicted the injury upon hence should have been given his marching orders.

“The tackle on was very bad he intentionally did that so was expecting him to be sent out I don’t know why the referee allowed him go scott free,” Esso told Oyerepa FM.

“I don’t know why he did that, I didn’t abuse him to merit such tackle. I can still feel pains at my left ankle.”

Esso was asked if he is fit to feature for the Phobians in the return encounter on Sunday, he said; “Waiting on the medical team to know the extent whether I can play in the 2nd leg or not

Hearts of Oak will have to repeat their CAF Champions League magic noted of them in the 70s to stand any chance of overcoming the first leg 2-0 defeat.
