Hearts of Oak's Public Relations Officer, Kwame Opare Addo, has acknowledged the club's underperformance in the recent Ghana Premier League season.

The club narrowly escaped relegation, finishing 14th on the table after a dramatic final-day comeback win that salvaged their season.

In an interview with Peace FM, Addo admitted, "Last season did not go well; we all agree and admit that it did not go well."

Despite the setbacks, Hearts of Oak is now shifting its focus towards the upcoming 2024/25 season, with plans to reinforce the squad with fresh talent. Addo emphasised the importance of unity and support from all stakeholders in moving forward.

"Management will put in place measures, or the board will decide on the direction we want to go. We will need the support of everybody," he said.

In addition to the league season, the club still has the Democracy Cup to play. The team had begun preparations, but due to a postponement, training has been rescheduled to start on Saturday.

The training will continue until the game on the 17th, after which the coach will grant the team a break.
