Hearts of Oak, a prominent team in the Ghana Premier League, plans to part ways with twelve players before the upcoming 2024/25 season, as reported by local media.
The Phobians had a challenging season, finishing 14th in the league standings. As they prepare for the new season, the club is taking steps to strengthen the team to make a significant impact in both the Ghanaian top-flight and the FA Cup.
After evaluating the team's performance last season, Hearts of Oak decided to release players who did not meet expectations. The club has already informed twelve players that their services will no longer be required.
In the coming days, Hearts of Oak will officially announce the departure of these players.
Additionally, the Phobians recently suffered their third consecutive defeat to rivals Asante Kotoko in the Democracy Cup. The Porcupine Warriors secured a 2-1 victory at the Accra Sports Stadium to win the inaugural cup.
