Hearts' opponents sack coach

Tunisian club Etoile du Sahel have dismissed their Bosnian coach Mehmed Bazdarevic.

The Sousse club, runners-up in the last two African Champions League finals, failed to win the Tunisian championship, which was taken by arch-rivals Esperance.

Bazdarevic, who won 58 caps for Yugoslavia and played in France and Switzerland, signed a one-year contract in July last year.

"The club decided to sack Bazdarevic for many reasons, including the technical strategy he used since his arrival," the club said in a statement.

Etoile remain in the race for a spot in the group stages of the Champions League.

But they will have to defeat Accra Hearts of Oak in the final preliminary round.
