Hearts plan big for coronation

Accra, May 1, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak are planning big for their 19th coronation as kings of Ghana football. The event, which has been scheduled for the Carl Reindorf Park at Dansoman in Accra on Sunday May 6 will be climaxed with a match against Liberty Professionals.

An elaborate programme released by the Board and Management of the new champions is expected to draw the vociferous army of faithful supporters of the club to the Park to revel and savour the 19th title of their favourite club.

According to the programme, there will be a curtain raiser between their Youth team, Auroras and the reserve side of the premiership outfit at 1:00 p.m.

At half time, during the main encounter with Liberty professionals, which kicks off at 3:00 p.m., the 2007 Onetouch Premiership trophy will be presented to Hearts of Oak whose players will be expected to appear in special ceremonial T shirts.

The entire Hearts of Oak family will commence a post match celebration at 5:00 p.m. with a procession through some principal streets of Accra and end at the clubs' secretariat at 13 Farar Avenue, Adabraka, where they will be entertained by a live band. All fans are requested to appear in the clubs colours, particularly its replica jerseys, which have been reduced to 50 thousand cedis from their original prices of 100 thousand cedis apiece.
