Hearts set tone for Sunday's League match

Accra, Sept 17, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oaks on Friday towered over Africa United, a second division side 2-0 in a friendly game to set the tone for their premier league match against city rivals, Accra Great Olympics billed for the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Phobians needed a goal in each half to prove to their supporters of their preparedness to translate their impressive performance on the continental level to the local scene when the Premier League resumes at the weekend.

Hearts, who played well, scored the first goal through Black Satellites' Prince Tagoe, who is fast establishing himself as a potent striker when he was quick to pick a Bernard Don Bortey's cross on the 37th mark.

The goal came after several failed attempts upfront by the Tagoe-led attack, which combined effectively with sensational Louis Agyemang at the tick of affairs.

Hearts resumed the second session with renewed zeal that saw them tormenting their opponent's vital area before slotting home the second goal through Wisdom Abbey when he was also gifted from another set-up from Bortey to bring the smiles back to the vociferous supporters of the Phobians.
