Hearts split points with Eleven Wise

Essipong, (W/R) March 18, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak split the points with a determined Sekondi Eleven Wise side on Wednesday when they forced a 1-1 drawn game in their exciting Glo Premier League match at the Sekondi Sports Stadium at Essipong.

It was Hearts who set the tone for the match after the kick off but Wise were up to the task as they counter-attacked and made sure they put a stop in the way of the Phobians.

The highly motivated Hearts side continued to pressurize the Wise defence but James Bissue of Wise in a counter move fetched the opener for his side in the 11th minute.

The match from then took a different turn with both sides playing gamely until the end of the first half.

Hearts from recess pounced on Wise with the home side fighting back tactically to consolidate their lead.

In the 74th minute, Hearts were however awarded a penalty when Elvis Acheampong was heckled and kicked down in the goal area of Wise. Samuel Affum skillfully took the kick with ease to bring the scores to a pulsating 1-1 draw. After the penalty kick the match from then became more exciting as both sides exploited every avenue to win the game.
