Accra Hearts of Oak have responded quickly to the social media photage imperiling their midfielder, Malik Akowuah to the smoking of Marijuana.
The midfielder has been surprisingly caught in an image with three boys smoldering marijuana which society frowns over it and his employers believe that though he is entitled to his private life, the image of the Phobians must also be taken into consideration hence the hierarchy of the club will probe into the issue.
The ex- Medeama talisman had a disappointing debut season with the Rainbow Club which one way or the other, could be attributed to injuries and many people believe he will overcome this difficulty next season but his latest social media image has cast public doubt as to whether the injuries were the true cause of his average performance in the just ended season.
Speaking to ATL FM in Cape Coast, the Public Relations Officer of the club, Opare Addo admitted that his outfit is aware of the news and are investigating the matter before taking any decision.
"I have also seen the image in the social media which am trying to reach him and find out the reality of it".
"We understand that Akowuah is entitled to his private life but his attempt to enjoy his private life should not also tarnish the image of hearts so very soon, we will conduct our investigations and come out with the final decision," he revealed to ATL FM.
