Accra, Jan. 4, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club are billed to pitch camp in the mining town of Obuasi in the Ashanti Region to acclimatise towards their preparations for their second leg final duel match of the Confederation Cup against Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Sunday, January 9.
Hearts who were held to a disappointing one all drawn game by their archrivals at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra last Sunday, are expected to arrive in the mining town on Wednesday as parts of their effort to step up their preparations.
Information reaching GNA Sports indicates that the club resumed training on Tuesday morning at the beach and would hence begin the second phase of their training programme towards the match. The Phobians, according to the information will engage in some friendly matches to sharpen the rough edges discovered in last Sundays match.
It is expected that coach Sir Cecil Jones Attuquayefio who criticised his midfield and attacking machinery in the game which saw sensational Louis Agyemang pulling a late magic to give his side a lifeline in a post match interview would work on those weaknesses in the first leg game.
It would be recalled that Hearts, prior to the first leg game camped at in the Togolese capital Lome for two weeks where they exhibited amazing form in all their friendly games.
The team would leave Obuasi on the eve of the game to Kumasi according to the information.
