Herbert mensah talks to suncity radio about may 9

As today marks the 13th anniversary of the May 9th soccer disaster that claimed 126 lives at the Accra Sports Stadium, former football administrator Herbert Mensah has rallied his support for families of the victims of the tragedy. Many concerns have been raised with regards to how this sad event is observed and how victims of families left behind are catered for.
In an exclusive interview with the former Football Administrator on Suncity Morning Drive in Sunyani, he explained with regret that successive governments have neglected the plight of these families who as a result of the disaster lost their loved ones. He stated that he has taken it upon himself to observe the day in order to raise funds for the families of the victims involved and the vulnerable.
Mr. Herbert Mensah said the day which will be observed in Kumasi will start with a float on some principal streets in the capital city interspersed with a football gala. He called on all and sundry to support the victims of the bereaved family and join hands in the full participation of activities to mark the day and make it a success.
He commended individuals like Kwasi Nyantakyi,the FA President, Mr.Ransford Antwi, MD of Suncity Radio,Kennedy Agyapong, Sometymer Otuo Acheampong and other corporate bodies like Voltic, DHL cargo, Coca Cola, Melcom, Sunda International, Interplast, Latex Foam, Scheema, Stallion, among many others, for supporting the event.
