The Ho Tennis Club last Saturday won the 2015 Asogli Yam Festival Tennis Tournament at the Ho Tennis Court.

The club secured the glory in six games out of nine to pick up the Stanbic- Asogli Yam Festival Trophy.

Maritime Tennis Club from Accra won two games with Tour Tennis Club from Tema winning just one match.

Mr Kojo Akoi-Larbi, Manager, Communications, Stanbic Bank, who presented a cheque for GHc10,000 to the Ho Tennis Club said the bank was proud to be associated with the Asogli Yam Festival and the tennis tournament.

“When people are healthy and happy, we at Stanbic are happy, so we are happy to be here and we will continue to support sporting activities in the country,” he stated.

Mr Victus Horlu, Secretary, Ho Tennis Court, said the high patronage of the tournament was a sign that tennis was no longer for the elite in society.
