It has been revealed that a member of Ernest Akushey's team, also known as Baubali, intentionally tore his boxing gloves during his fight against Elvis Ahorgah, also known as Soldier Boxer.

The highly anticipated match took place at the Bukom Boxing Arena on June 29, 2024, where the two boxers competed for the National Super Middleweight title.

This boxing match, organized by Ayitey Powers Productions, was completely sold out, with fans excited to see the fight after weeks of verbal sparring between the two opponents.

However, confusion arose in the sixth round when referee Roger Bannor noticed a flaw in Baubali's boxing gloves. A request to change Baubali's gloves led to further confusion in the ring as the two boxers' camps clashed.

The confusion persisted for nearly 20 minutes as security attempted to regain control of the situation. Fans began to walk out of the arena and threw objects into the ring in response.

Video footage obtained by GhanaWeb showed that after the fifth round ended, a member of Baubali's team covertly used a sharp object to tamper with his gloves in the corner.
