Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has opened about the circumstances that led to his appointment as Kotoko manager in 2012.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with FootballMadeInGhana.com, the experienced gaffer recounted how a phone conversation with former club chairman Dr. K.K Sarpong set the ball rolling for his move to the Baba Yara Stadium.
“In 2012, I was in camp when I got a phone call from Dr. Sarpong. It was late in the night and I was sleeping but I answered. Then he said, is that Didi and I said yes. Then he said I want you to coach Kotoko and I said ok that’s fine if you hand me a contract
“I hadn’t met him before then, I only heard about him. That conversation was the first time we spoke."
Mas-Ud Didi Dramani – currently a coach at FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark – still remains at the pinnacle of recent Kotoko coaches of recent times having won back to back league titles and an FA Cup during a successful three year spell in Kumasi.
