THE PRESIDENT of Techiman City Football Club, Charles Kwadwo Ntim, has debunked rumours that he has placed injunction on the 2015-2016 football season.
The Premier League Board, Ghana League Club Association and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) are unable to fix a specific time for the commencement of the league due to numerous unresolved legal issues.
Mr. Ntim is being blamed for the delay because of his case against the GFA which was pending at the Review Committee.
Mr Ntim was appealing the GFA's Appeals Committee ruling delivered on Friday November 27, 2015, on grounds that the ruling lacked jurisdiction and the Committee failed to refer to and apply the GFA Regulations and Statutes in its ruling.
However, on Wednesday, the Review Committee dismissed the review application filed by Techiman City Football Club, thus, endangering the club's promotion to the Premier League next season.
Every football season, the Ghana Premier League calendar is derailed due to injunctions by unsatisfied parties. The 2014/2015 ended in September which saw Ashantigold annexing the league trophy from Asante Kotoko.
