Accra Great Olympics boss, Fred Pappoe, has reiterated that he has what it takes to be the next Ghana Football Association president but believes not just anyone can occupy the top position.

The former vice president of the Ghana Football Association made the comments after George Afriyie officially declared his intention to contest for Ghana FA presidency in the 2019 elections during his 50th birthday celebration.

The celebrated football administrator who has been tipped to contest for the election in an interview with Asempa FM failed to confirm his plans to contest.

“It’s not a matter of you being capable, it is a matter of the electorates saying they want you because you can’t just get up and go and sit in that seat.

”In terms of being capable, I’m sure there are a lot of people who are capable but I don’t think I’m incapable.

“Like many other people who are capable, I think I’m also one of them but at the end of the day it’s not a matter of capabilities but what the electorates want which matters,” he added.
