I am ever ready to help Dr. Kyei administration for success - Yamoah Ponkoh

Former Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) for Ejisu-juaben Municipal Assembly (EJMA) in the Ashanti region Hon. Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh has pledged his support for the current Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club Executives, led by the Board Chairman, His Honour Dr. Kwame Kyei, for more success.

He said, been a former Operation Officer for the club, he will use his experienced gained during his time, to help the club restore to its past glorious moments, when Asante Kotoko was a conqueror, both local and international.

He gave the pledge in an interview with Otec fm’ Royal Sports’ Dominic Owusu-Ansah, on Friday morning, when asked if he would serve the club again when called by the current executives.

Wofa Yamoah, as he is affectionately called, was the Operation Officer during the period of 2005/06, under the late Alhaji Inje led Interim Management Team (IMT).

He added that working with Dr. Kyei will also offer him (Yamoah Ponko) the chance to gain more experience from a man he adored and respected, because of his business-like approach to the club.

"Why not, he is a businessman on his own right, very affable and very successful. It is even a privilege that a man like him (Dr. Kyei) will call you to come and help him in any aspect and it is even opportunity for everyone who gets that opportunity to steal some Ideas from him for your own good. Am ever ready when he calls me and besides he is also like a brother to me".

His pledge also came at the wake of the Porcupine Warriors triumph over their arch rivals Hearts of Oak Sporting Club last Sunday, to clinch the 2016-2017 MTN FA CUP at the Tamale sports stadium.
