oalkeeper Richar Ofori has expressed his excitement after joining South African side, Amazulu FC.
The Ghana international joined the PSL side as a free agent after leaving Orlando Pirates.
After completing his move to the side, Ofori said, “I’m happy to be here in KZN again. It feels like home, as KwaZulu Natal was where I first arrived in South Africa.
"We’re here to work and continue the journey. The team is a big club, the oldest in the country, and I’m here to contribute,” said Ofori.
Ofori also praised the quality of AmaZulu's goalkeeping department, highlighting the importance of unity among the goalkeepers.
“The team has excellent goalkeepers, and together, we aim to work as a unit to help the club achieve its goals,” Ofori added.
Ofori has previously played for both Pirates and Maritzburg United in South Africa.
With 33 caps for Ghana, Ofori hopes to leverage his experience to help the team replicate their strong 2021/22 season, where they were MTN 8 runners-up and competed in the CAF Champions League group stages.
His last game for the Black Stars was at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against Mozambique.
