Herbert Addo believes he is the ideal person to bring long-term stability to the Hearts of Oak playing body, but has asked the supporters not to expect too much from the technical team as they are still rebuilding the team.
The Club, soon after the end of the 2013/14 football season dissolved the entire technical team replacing it with arguably the finest group of persons on the local scene.
The list comprises of Head coach Herbert Addo, assistant coach Stephen Abugri, goalkeeper’s trainer Eddie Ansah and team Manager Nii Sabahn Quaye.
The expectation from the fans is very high especially looking at the results chalked in the many preseason matches played so far. But the coach has warned against putting undue pressure both on him and the technical team.
“We are still rebuilding and I believe that it will take some time because more players are being roped into the team. I know the fans are very expectant of very good results once the season gets underway, and we are working hard towards that”, Herbert Addo told sportscrusader.com over the weekend.
“They are expecting magical results and those results will only happen if I were Harry Potter because he is a magician.”
“Look at the way the boys played in the Top 4 especially in matches that had little pressure. It goes without saying that we must hit the ground running when the season commences, but we should not be pushed too much as it might affect the confidence of some of the players, especially the new ones who have no idea what it is to play for Hearts of Oak.”
