President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has insisted that he is not grooming MTN FA Cup chairman, Kurt Okraku to succeed him when he leaves office in 2019.
After disclosing his intention not to seek re-election in 2019, several names of football administrators in the country have expressed their interest in the top post and one of them is the Dreams FC Executive Chairman.
But CAF 1st vice has rubbished the reportage of grooming Mr Okraku insisting everybody at the FA is capable of contesting for the GFA presidency in 2019.
“I am not grooming anybody for the Ghana Football Association presidency,” he told Vision 1 FM.
“Everybody at the FA is capable of contesting for the position in 2019. There is no iota of truth in that reportage.
“I think it is our responsibility to put the truth across so that the perception of people will not be regarded,” he added.
Osei Kweku Palmer, George Afriyie, Fred Crentsil, Fred Pappoe, Kurt Okraku, Kudjoe Fianoo, Kojo Yankah, among others are all eyeing the top post.
