Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Eric Ofori Antwi could be on his way out of Medeama Sporting Club before the start of next season.
In an interview with Nhyira FM, on Tuesday, 21st, November, 2017, he noted that, “Yes, Hearts has contacted me and I told them to talk to Medeama because I have two more years with them. Before the start of the season I told Medeama to allow me leave should I get any offer and am ready to play for Hearts but if that doesn’t materialize, I will still play for Medeama.”
It will be recalled earlier in the season, the Yellow and Mauvres indefinately suspended the their goalkeeper for going AWOL. He, however, rendered an apology to the Club and its fans for his unprofessional behaviour.
Since returning from the suspension, Eric Ofori Antwi has made several appearances in both the MTN FA Cup and the Ghana Premier League.
He joined the Tarkwa-based club from Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the just ended 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League.
The former Amidaus professionals shot-stopper was part of the Black Starlets squad that finished third after beating Iraq 3-0 in the third and Fourth play-off in the 2013 World Cup in Turkey.
