Former Black Stars player, Kevin-Prince Boateng, has recollected a moment in his life when he purchased luxurious vehicles during a challenging period.
He explained that during his stay in Tottenham, he was unhappy due to certain situations. Hence, he decided to buy three cars, including a Lamborghini, a Hummer, and a Cadillac, to entertain himself.
The former FC Barcelona player stated that living a luxurious life was not enough for him to overcome the situation, adding that money cannot buy happiness.
In a tweet shared by Eurofoot on X, Boateng advised young people not to rely on material things for delight, as they are not a sufficient source of happiness in life.
"I bought three cars in one day when I was at Tottenham - a Lamborghini, a Hummer, and a Cadillac. To the youngsters, I tell them: You cannot buy happiness! I was looking for happiness in material things: a car makes you happy for a week. I bought three to be happy for three weeks," he said.
Boateng announced his retirement from football on August 11, 2023, at the age of 35.
Boateng made his mark on the international stage by representing Ghana in two FIFA World Cup tournaments.
In the 2010 World Cup held in South Africa, Boateng played a crucial role as Ghana reached the quarter-finals.
Throughout his illustrious career, Boateng played for several renowned clubs, including Fiorentina, Borussia Dortmund, Genoa, Portsmouth, Besiktas, Schalke 04, and FC Barcelona, among others.
