Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Kwame Baah claims he is at the club to contribute to the progress of the club and not to compete with anyone for the no. 1 spot.
The Ghana U-23 goalkeeper has displaced first-choice keeper Felix Annan in the post since match week five after the latter sought permission to absent himself from the team in order to prepare for his wedding after match Week 3.
Baah however, in a recent interview with Kotoko Express App has played down any competition at the club despite dethroning Annan to claim the first-team spot in the suspended 2019/2020 Ghana premier league season.“I did not come here to challenge anyone rather, I came here to contribute my quota to the progress of the club”
“Every one of us is here is to help the club achieve its goals and not to challenge anyone, and that is what we do at training and in games.”
“Football is a team sport played in a season that is made up of several games. No one player can play all the games. No one player can do it on his own because injuries will set in, form will drop and also improve along the line.”
“What matters is that players always stay ready and prepared. Let us say that I was ready. We are contributing to the growth of the club.”
Kwame Baah joined the Porcupines this season and started as deputy to first-choice Felix’s in the opening four games of the 2019/2020 campaign.
