Ghana's finest Specialist Surgeon and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of renowned Ridge Medical Center, Dr. Emmanuel Gyimah Amankwa has won Ghana's Most Promising CEO of the Year Award at the just-ended 2024 Ghana CEO Award held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel on Friday night in Accra.

The significant achievement symbolises his outstanding contributions towards the healthcare sector and also ensuring timely access to quality services for both the public and private sectors with excellent management skills.

The 3rd edition of the Ghana CEO Awards referred us "Celebrating Visionaries", was on the theme; " CEOs for Climate: Steering towards a Greener Future".

The iconic awards scheme organised by Globe Productions seeks to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished CEO's who are verified and constantly committed to Stay relevant, Stay connected and Stay Ahead of Game and have used the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately the country. It is also recognize these idea transformers and serve as a source of information, inspiration and motivation for most of them ( Successful leaders, executives, investors and entrepreneurs).

Dr. Emmanuel Gyimah Amankwa in his appreciation remarks said, this priceless achievement signifies his unwavering focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations while adhering to rigorous quality standards.

*PROFILE ABOUT DR. EMMANUEL GYIMAH AMANKWA (CEO, RIDGE MEDICAL CENTER)*

Dr Emmanuel Gyimah Amankwa is the Chief Executive Officer and specialist surgeon at Ridge Medical Center. His also renders surgical services in hospitals in the Eastern Region including Nsawam Government Hospital. He deals in medical logistics through his enterprise called AGE healthcare and logistics. Dr Amankwa is a member of the Ghana college of surgeons and West Africa college of surgeons. And holds an Executive Diploma in international healthcare administration and Diploma in Public Health. A compassionate and focused caregiver with extensive experience in his field over the past 10 years.
He has fostered beneficial business partnership in both the public and private health industry.

*RECOGNITIONS*

Dr Amankwa has many accolades including, CEO of the year (private healthcare) at the Gh-West Africa healthcare Excellence Awards 2022, the winner for the Forty under 40 Awards (Health and wellness Category) 2023.
He was also honored at the 10th Business Executive excellence awards 2024 as the as the most outstanding personality in healthcare.

He has collaborated with notable television and radio stations like GHone, Metro TV ,HD+TV, Starr FM, Kasapa Fm and Agoo FM respectively and business organisations such as Quick Credit microfinance and investment, Quick Holdings, Pizzaman, Chickenman, Atlantic international holdings company etc to organise outreaches and screening for health conditions of public health importance including Breast cancer, that has enabled him to screen and test thousands of people of respective conditions.

He also served as a venue medical officer (VMO) in the 13th African Games, Accra 2023.
