Regular playing time and consistency were the key ingredients considered by Ghanaian defender Samuel Inkoom before accepting an offer to play in Bulgaria.

Inkoom, 29, signed for Bulgarian first team side Dinav Rousse after a long ban on him was lifted by FIFA a fortnight ago.

And the right-back has revealed that he chose to play in Bulgaria because of guaranteed playing time.

“I had several offers from many other countries but I chose Bulgaria because of playing time,” he told FOX FM in Kumasi.

“I had offers from Saudi Arabia, Dubai, France and many other countries. But at this point, it’s not about money but to regain my form through consistency and always be playing.

“I have played in Bulgaria before and it will be easier for me to settle here than elsewhere,” he added.

Inkoom was banned by FIFA over agency issues but the former Kotoko defender is ready to stage a sumptuous return.

He played his first match for Dunav Rousse in their 2-0 win over Botev Vratza in a friendly match some few weeks ago.

He’s currently with the team in Turkey for preseason.
