Former Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah says he has no problem with the Ghana Football Association's decision not to maintain him as manager of the senior national team.
The GFA decided against offering Kwasi Appiah a new deal after his contract two and a half year expired at the end of last month.
Last week, Charles Kwabla Akonnor was appointed as Appiah's successor.
“My contract ended on December 31 and the FA decided not to renew my contract. I don’t have a problem with that because it was their decision,” he told Asempa FM.
“I have no issue with that because I did my best for the country but if I were to leave before my contract ended, that would have been difficult for me,” he explained.
He also advised Ghanaians to rally behind CK Akonnor.
“I did my best for Ghana but CK Akonnor is in charge. Let’s all support him so we can meet our target.”
