Nigeria striker, Victor Boniface, has revealed that he is not a fan of the Premier League and does not prioritise a move to the English top flight.

The Bayer Leverkusen forward noted that he prefers the German Bundesliga and the Spanish La Liga to the Premier League.

He said the two aforementioned leagues had always been his preference even before his first move to Europe.

“No. I admit I did an interview before and I’m not saying this just because I’m on this level,” he told Spporty TV.

“I’ve been saying this even before I had an international passport, even before I dreamt of coming to Europe, I don’t really like the Premier League. I said this before. I prefer Spanish football or German football.”

Boniface, however, did not rule out a potential move to the Premier League in the future.

“I’m not saying if a great team (from the Premier League) comes for me, I won’t go. But if you ask me to pick two countries, I really want to live and play in, it will be Germany and Spain,” he said.

Victor Boniface has reportedly attracted interest from Chelsea who has penciled his name for a potential transfer in 2025 summer.
