I dont think I will be allowed to play against Ghana- Soulama

Asante Kotoko and Burkina Faso goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye says he doubts that he will be allowed to play against Ghana tomorrow.

He told Kumasi-based FOX FM that because of his links with Ghana through Asante Kotoko, he does not think head coach Paul Put will risk putting him in goal for tomorrow’s semifinal.

“I don’t think the coach will give me that chance to play because of my link with Ghana. Even if we were playing against Ghana in the final, he would not allow me to play. He even called me after training and told me that I am in good form, but he wants to see what the other goalkeeper (Diakite) will do for us.”

Soulama expressed his distress that the Stallions would clash with the Black Stars in the semifinals, noting that he would have preferred to meet Ghana in the final.

“I don’t even like the fact that we are playing Ghana in the semifinal. I would have wanted to meet Ghana in the final, but we clash tomorrow instead.”
