Former footballer Charles Taylor has revealed his feelings about his former club Hearts of Oak.

The former footballer who took his turn on the Delay Show explained that the team was the reason his football career ended.

Narrating a very sad story, Charles Taylor who is now an associate pastor said initially when he was brought from his hometown, he was promised a spot in Kumasi Asante Kotoko, but ET Mensah who was then the Sports Minister told him that he had to play for Hearts of Oak if he wanted to ever play for the national team.

He said after accepting to go, he also got an opportunity to play for Brescia in Italy for four hundred thousand dollars but Hearts of Oak refused to accept that deal and also failed to help him secure play time with other foreign teams.

Asked how much he gained from the money Hearts paid to sign him, Charles Taylor said he didn’t get a dime, because his manager, one Jonathan Laryea took all the money to rent a shop to sell items. He however said in a jovial way, that he got a black Golf 2 car from the whole deal.
