Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Sergio Traguil, has reaffirmed his belief in his current squad – in their ability to deliver on their mandate of winning the Ghana Premier League(GPL) title – despite their shocking stumble against West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) in week 23 of the GPL.
Hearts were stunned by the Academy Boys – courtesy an emphatic 3-0 scoreline – as they relinquished their hold on the top spot to Wa All Stars who beat Bechem United by 2-0.
In a post-match interview after their defeat, Coach Traguil said: “I still believe in my players, we will continue to work relentlessly to achieve our objective, this loss will not deter as from reaching our foremost objective of winning the league, I am not thinking of home or away records but I am focused on delivering my mandate.
“It wasn’t a good day for us, too many mistakes by my players and, you can’t do these mistakes if you are vying for the title. But we will work on our mistakes and bounce back strong.”
Hearts will welcome Techiman City in week 24 of the GPL as they look forward to getting back to winning ways in their quest to reclaim top spot.
