I haven't signed a deal with Bofoakwa – Vanli

Former Hearts of Oak technical advisor Can Vanli says he is yet to sign a contract with Ghana second division side Tano Bofoakwa.

The Turkish tactician, who joined Hearts in August following the Phobians' uninspiring form during the 2014-15 Ghana Premier League season, was earlier reported to have signed a two-year deal following his presence in Sunyani, home of the lower tier side.

“I don't want to talk about any contract,” Vanli was quoted as saying by Gazzetta Ghana.

“I’m here in the town [Sunyani] and [chief executive officer] Ernest Boateng is my very good friend, so I’m here to see his team Bofoakwa and to help them.

“But we're still talking. I can’t talk about any contract, or salary, or two-year or one-year deal.”

However, the ex-Asasspor manager refuses to completely shut the door on the former premier league campaigners.

“We will see what will happen in the coming days and then we can talk about this in detail,” Vanli added.

“I’m like a visitor to the club and I'm here to see their players. My immediate aim is to get talents to Europe, Turkey or Asia.”

The former Kirsehirspor manager was ignored in favour of Japanese coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi for Hearts' coaching role following the expiration of his short-term technical advisory role.

He was a member of Turkey's technical team at the 2002 Fifa World Cup as well as the 2003 Fifa Confederations Cup.
