The former Head Coach of the Black Queens, Yusif Basigi, has revealed how excruciating his sacking was as he heard the news from his friends and some of his players. He said he was in Serbia then for a three-week attachment.
In an exclusive interview with Connect 97.1 FM, the Hasmal Ladies’ coach said that nobody from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) officially called him to inform him about the appointment of Coach Didi Dramani, his brother, as his successor.
“I heard my sacking from some Black Queens players and some friend, who called me in Serbia to find out the truth,” he said.
The coach later called his assistant, Rashid Iddi, in Ghana for confirmation and his fears were true.
He said he is yet to get a call from the GFA ever since he arrived from Serbia. “Though the FA is aware I am back from Serbia, no official has called to tell me anything.”
