Renowned and die-hard Accra Great Olympics supporter, Joseph Langabell has revealed it is impossible and will never happen for him to be a fan of arch-rivals Hearts of Oak.
Known popularly for his ‘self-established’ English language and his drumming activities with the senior national team, the Black stars Langabell has been reported to have defected to Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the current Ghana premier league season due to the absence of his boyhood Accra Great Olympics.
Langabell nicknamed, the national chief drummer in an interview with sportscrusader.com admitted he is only supporting Kotoko with drumming activities simply because he can’t see himself cheering on bitter rivals Hearts and since your enemies enemy is your friend and your friends enemy is your friend he sees nothing wrong with his choice.
He said, “as you know I am currently cheering Kotoko with my drumming skills am willing to do for all clubs like I did for Tema Youth sometime ago but for Accra Hearts of Oak it will never happen.”
“I am a born and bred Olympics fan and the rivalry between the two club’s means it will never happen, me supporting Hearts, never! … and that influenced my decision to throw my weight behind Kotoko who also has a the same rivalry with Hearts.”
Langabell has revealed he will be in Kumasi to cheer Kotoko on when they face regional rivals, Ashgold after suffering opening day defeat of the new Ghana premier league season away to WAFA.
