Former WBO super bantamweight champion Isaac Dogboe says he is returning to the fundamental aspects of boxing as he seeks to recapture the world title.

Dogboe, 25, has been in the United States city of California training at the famous Jack Rabbit gym as he continues his road back to the top of his career.

The British-Ghanaian orthodox fighter suffered back to back losses to Mexico power-puncher Emmanuel Navarrete in December 2018 and May 2019.

Dogboe has been training tirelessly to recapture the title he lost to Navarrete in unanimous decision and technical knockout respectively.

In a video interview with Red Glove News from the Jack Rabbit boxing gym in California Dogboe highlighted the need to go back to the basics of boxing and says he wants to recapture his boxing title.

Dogboe has an enviable record of 20 victories with 14 by way of knockout and 6 decisions with only 2 losses – both coming against Navarrete.

The 5 ft 4 in boxer was scheduled to fight Mexican Enrique Bernacheon, on April 11 in Albuquerque, USA but the bout was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic which halted all sporting activities.

Dogbe has a reach of 163 cm and fights with the orthodox style.
