A member of the Normalisation Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Lawyer Duah Adonteng has lashed out at freelance journalist, Ekow Asmah for questioning his lateness to the committee’s press briefing Wednesday.

Ekow Asmah admonished the legal practitioner for attending the event almost an hour late, explaining that such attitude sets a bad precedent for the incoming executives of the Ghana Football Association.

“You are the leaders, this is the interim GFA. Your conduct should mirror the kind of conduct that the incoming FA should emulate. So this is not a very good example. A very bad example,” the journalist stated.

In response, Lawyer Duah Adonteng furiously told the journalist that he has no interest whatsoever in the stupidity being displayed by him [the journalist]. He also reprimanded the journalist for failing to find out from him why he was late, rather than chide him in that manner.

“Have you asked me why and how? I am not interested in this stupidity. You must find out from me why before you say what you are saying. I do not tolerate nonsense,” Lawyer Adonteng replied.

The Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee held its maiden interaction with the media in Accra on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.

The event afforded both the Normalization Committee and the press an opportunity to interact extensively on the way forward for Ghana Football.
