I’m ready for Black Stars – Alfred Nelson

Dansoman based Liberty Professionals Captain Alfred Nelson in an exclusive interview with Sportscrusader.com after their match with Berekum Chelsea on Sunday, February 22 mentioned that he is ever ready to feature for the Black Stars if Israeli coach Avram Grant calls on him.

The former Unistar Soccer Academy player says his age does not allow him to play for any of the national teams, so the senior national team is his main priority now.

“My age is above the under 17, 20 and the Black Meteors so I am aiming at the Black Stars now and I am ready if Grant wants me. It’s always my dream to wear the colours of the Black stars”.

Alfred was by far the best player on the pitch on Sunday and said Liberty have a young and inexperienced side and was happy they recorded a win against one of the best teams in the country.

“Berekum Chelsea have some experience players and as you can see we have a young side now gaining experience playing in the Ghana premier league. It was a great win and so we are all happy”.

Liberty recorded a slim 1- 0 victory over Berekum Chelsea after Kennedy Ashia`s late penalty.
