Midfielder Mohammed Abu says he ready to play anywhere Valeranga manager Ronny Deila will ask him after joining on a loan deal from Columbus Crew.

Abu returns to the Norwegian top flight league after spending a season at Stromgodset in 2010-11 on loan from English giants Manchester City, in which he scored once in 35 appearances before going being shipped out on loan the following season to German side Eintracht Frankfurt.

According to the 26-year-old, playing under Ronny Deila, whom he calls 'daddy' is a major factor in his decision to join Valeranga.

"Oh yeah, when I heard Ronny [Deila] wanted me to come, I call here my home so I was like I'm not going to think about it twice, it's yes for me. Me and Ronny, I will say it's like father and son thing because I remember my first year in Norway I was staying with him and he taught me a lot of stuffs, he is always part of wherever I go so it's a good feeling to come back to the daddy."

He added, "I don't care wherever my daddy will put me, I will try to do my best for the team. The most important is that me being here and make sure that I do what's required from me and what the team want to achieve, I will try my best to support it."

In 2017, he started 14 games after being acquired from Stromsgodset IF in Norway.
