Ghana’s all-time top scorer and lethal weapon Asamoah Gyan has declared himself fit to start for the Black Stars if selected by Coach Kwasi Appiah to face Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday.
The powerful striker after coming on for thirteen minutes against Cameroon introduced urgency into the game despite coming on late.
Gyan believes he was not introduced into the game against Cameroon earlier as the timing was limited but is sure he is physically and mentally ready to start against Guinea-Bissau.
“Every player wants to play but at the end of the day, the coach takes the decision.
“I just have to be mentally and physically ready for the game and anytime I’m given the opportunity, I can also prove my worth, and I’m ready now,” Gyan said.
Ghana must win their last game against Guinea-Bissau and with Asamoah Gyan declaring himself ready to play, perhaps Coach Kwasi Appiah could look at pairing him with Jordan upfront against the Wild Dogs.
Gyan is Ghana most capped player and all-tine top scorer with 107 games and 51 goals respectively.
